Though the practice is said to have started in the wedding rituals of the elites in Europe, it is something that any wedding ceremony and reception can’t go without in many cultures these days.
Items given away as wedding favors come in various forms and sizes: picture frames, scented candles, figurines, silver- or chrome-plated baskets, potpourri–and the list just goes on. As a wedding is an important milestone in the lives of a man and a woman, the kind of wedding favors to give away to guests has become an important part of the wedding plan.
Wedding favors symbolize the appreciation of the newlyweds for their family, friends and other guests for being part of the “Yes, I do” day. Buying wedding favors in bulk is just but common for it enables couples to save some amount of money, because most, if not all, stores that sell souvenir items give a considerable discount when the items are purchased in volume.
Some couples, though, prefer their wedding favors to be customized and actually look for suppliers who can tailor-make their giveaways. Understandably, all couples want their wedding to be unique to make it more lasting in the memory, and wedding favors can contribute to that uniqueness. Just the same, suppliers of these usually ask a couple to order the wedding favors in bulk and give them a discount, as well.
